The Mashburn Downhole Filter Sub is the world leader in drillstring filtering technology.

The DFS can be mounted anyplace in the drillstring - usually directly above critical equipment. The DFS can ensure that drilling fluids to operate to their potential – without tool jamming debris causing NPT and unnecessary failures. To date, the DFS has logged well over 50,000 rental days, in most any drilling environment imaginable. The filters are NS-1 certified (for North Sea service) and are in service in: GOM, Norway, Aberdeen, China, Brazil, Saudi, Australia, and Sakhalin.

• Designed for today's MWD equipment, the filter is inexpensive insurance – especially in deep water applications.
• Can be positioned anywhere in the BHA.
• Screens and Subs are sized to be compatible with MWD equipment: Available in 9 ½”, 8”, 6 ¾” & 4 ¾” OD. Custom applications are gladly accommodated upon request.
• The screen is located near the MWD equipment, to filter drill pipe scale & dried cements.
• Unique "Hi-flow" design filters effectively with minimal flow reduction (see engineering data sheet).
• Mashburn screens have proven effective with Positive or Negative pulse tools as well as positive and negative Siren telemetry systems.
• Eliminate the need of spending a lot of NPT with plugged up tools.
• Highly Resistant to wear for longer trouble free service.
