Don Mashburn, Inc. manufactures both upper and lower Kelly Valves. Whenever the Kelly Valve is used as a lower Kelly valve it serves to provide a closure to stop mud loss when the Kelly is disconnected from the drill string. Using the supplied wrench, just close the valve before disconnecting and the mud/drilling fluids in the Kelly and hoses stays in place. This serves to further prevent the spillage and waste of drilling fluids on the rig floor.

The internal components of each valve manufactured by Don Mashburn, Inc. are thoroughly inspected and must pass a stringent quality control test before final assembly of the valve takes place. Once the valve body is phosphate coated it is then assembled, pressure tested and the test results are recorded. Upon request, valves can be painted to the customer's requirements.
